Lindy Hop is a partner dance whose roots can be traced back to Afro-American dance styles. It was born in Harlem, New York in the 1930s from the Afro-American population who danced the jazz from that era--swing music.
Lindy Hop quickly became popular in the US and it extended to Europe through the professional troupes' shows, films and American soldiers sent to fight in WW1 and WW2.
After a few decades, Lindy hop was put aside for more popular dances such as rock’n’roll. It has become fashionable again around the world, especially in Barcelona, where more and more people are discovering it and falling in love.
Classes are focused on connection between the partners and musicality.
